Abdullah says Pakatan Rakyat can’t run nation

SIBU: The Pakatan Rakyat (PR) comprises only three parties but are always at loggerheads even over petty issues, said Chief Political Secretary to the Chief Minister Abdullah Saidol.

He added that Pakatan could not even manage their own house, so how on earth could they be entrusted to manage a nation.

“There are only three of them in Pakatan but we always see and hear them squabble about many small issues, latest being the proposed local council polls by DAP which caused Hadi (Awang) (of PAS) to respond and relate it to the May 13 incident.

“DAP will never approve and agree to PAS’s fundamental political struggle to fight for hudud.

“Their other partner, PKR, is still entangled in the MB saga in Selangor. Ex MB Khalid is now busy criticising his own new MB,” Abdullah, who is Semop assemblyman, told The Borneo Post.

He said State DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen at a recent press conference in Kuching proposed that state BN should consider using a different logo from the current white ‘dacing’ (weighing scale) on a blue background, which originates from the peninsula.

Chong made the statement in response to Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem’s call for every Sarawakian to give their support to a Sarawak-based party in the next state election.

Abdullah hit out at Chong for making such a lame and feeble statement. He pointed out that BN formed in 1973 is a registered coalition of 14 political parties.

“In Sarawak, all the four political parties being part of the coalition are genuinely founded in Sarawak by our very own Sarawakian leaders.”

On the contrary, he said DAP was not born in Sarawak and was always controlled by their political masters based in West Malaysia.

“Their so-called Pakatan coalition is not a registered entity and till now their core and sole reason to exist is to topple BN government and the leader of each party dreams and desire to be the prime minister,” Abdullah opined.
