SIBU: Wildaan REG badminton team defeated RMB of Kuching at the final of the Sarawak Bumiputra Closed Badminton Championship held here recently to lift the ‘Beranikaya Borneo 2015 Challenge Trophy’.
The champion team bagged RM2,500 for the win.
Wildaan REG comprised experienced players like Dolgani Dollah, Saadon Zamhari, Alex Jong, Peter Lee, Mohd Chairil Anuar, Muhammad Halim Jamaruddin, Muhammad Afiq Sazwan and Mohd Nizam Ramon.
The competition, Jan 31 – Feb 1, was organised by MUC Racket Group.
It attracted 14 teams from throughout the state.
RMB took home RM1,500 for being second while MUC RG A and T.Team – the joint third – each won RM700.
