SARIKEI: Entries are invited for the Sarawak Government Services Welfare and Recreational Council (Maksak) Sarikei Division Men’s Football tournament from Feb 14-15.
Organising committee spokesman Abang Zaini Abang Ismail said that the two-day tournament is open to all government departments in the Division comprising Sarikei, Meradong, Julau and Pakan Districts.
He said if any department could not send a team, they could release their players to join other teams.
Each team is required to register 18 players comprising eight veterans (aged 40 years and above) and 10 from the Open category.
Each team is also required to register a team manager, coach and physiologist.
Entry forms and details can be obtained from Zaini at the Divisional National Registration Office who can be contacted at 084-651426 or 014-8832372.
Completed entry forms together with RM200 entry fee per team must be submitted to the organising committee before 3pm on Feb 13.
The main objective of the tournament is to select players to represent Sarikei at the state-level football tournament in Miri from Feb 28 to March 1.
