KUCHING: Sarawak are looking to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to Terengganu last week and earn their first three points in the Youth Cup when they host neighbours Sabah at Stadium Negeri today.

Coach Fuad Grbesic, disappointed with the defeat although his boys dominated the game, is optimistic that Sarawak can score their first win of the new season. He said that defeat has not dampened the spirit of his players.

“We do not know the strengths and capability of the visitors (Sabah) but our team is ready to go all out for our first victory.

“What I am hoping is that my boys will be fully focused on the game and, most importantly,

not commit simple mistakes that will cost us dearly,” commented Fuad.

A win, he believed, is vital to lift the morale of his players.

“We will be lining up our best 11 players to ensure three points for Sarawak,” added the coach from Bosnia.

The match between Sarawak and Sabah will start at Stadium Negeri at 4.15pm.
