MIRI: Government departments and agencies should work closely with one another to ensure that all the works they are implementing really benefit the people.

Assistant Minister of Early Childhood and Family Development Rosey Yunus wanted  government bodies to adopt the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) because she believed the approach could help foster closer collaboration with one another.

She said this in a meeting titled Coordinating Programme between Departments with Bekenu Service Centre 2015 that she chaired at Bekenu last week.

Rosey, who is also Bekenu assemblywoman, strongly emphasized the importance of racial harmony as espoused under the 1Malaysia concept.

She added that all programmes planned must be supported by the chief minister to ensure that all Sarawakians would unite and progress in its diversity.

Representatives from government agencies, financial institutions, resident office and district office were also present in the meeting.

On an unrelated issue, Rosey said the  Saberkas Bekenu branch will be launched on March 7 at Bekenu Community Hall during an open house gathering in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.

Saberkas president Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg will be the guest of honour.
