BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Water disruption was reported in several areas in the capital yesterday after the main distribution pipe (600mm) at Kampong Kiulap burst, according to the Public Works Department (PWD), Brudirect reported.
Areas affected include Kampong Kiulap, Jalan Ong Sum Ping, Kampong Mabohai, along Jalan Kota Batu to Kampong Sungai Belukut, Kampong Kianggeh, Kampong Berangan, Jalan Tasek Lama, Kampong Subok, Kampong Sultan Lama, Kampong Sungai Kedayan, Kampong Sumbiling Lama and Bandar area.
The department has taken immediate action after the pipe burst at around 6pm yesterday and repair work is currently under way to ensure that the water supply is back to normal soon.
The cause of the damage is yet to be identified.
The department has apologised for the inconvenience caused and request for water supply tankers is available through the Darussalam Hotline 123 though services are limited.
