TAWAU: An oil palm factory in Kalabakan, about 100 kilometres from here, was destroyed in a pre-dawn fire today.
Tawau Fire and Rescue Department head Ismaidi Ismail, when contacted, said the department received a call on the fire at 5.12 am and five firemen in an engine went to the scene.
They arrived at the location at 6.10 am and managed to douse the flame with the assistance of volunteer firemen from Felda Emas, he added. -Bernama
