Grand Palace Hotel ushers in the ‘Goat’ with traditional lion and dragon dance

The dragon dance performed by Sarawak Hong Teck Dragon & Lion Dance Association of Miri at Grand Palace Hotel’s entrance has attracted a huge crowd.

MIRI: Grand Palace Hotel ushered in the ‘Year of the Goat’ to bring good luck and hope for another successful performance in the hospitality industry.

Traditionally, the Chinese business community welcomed the Chinese New Year (CNY) with the symbolic lion and dragon dances to bless their business premises and staff members.

Around 10am yesterday, the hotel’s entrance came alive with spectacular dragon and lion dance performances to usher in good luck and prosperity for the hotel.

The hotel management and personnel as well as guests, were amazed by the acrobatic lion dance performance by Sarawak Hong Teck Dragon & Lion Dance Association of Miri.

The troupe also performed at the hotel’s Western Palace and Han Palace Restaurants.

The Wushu Association of Miri Dragon & Lion Dance Troupe will hold similar performances at the same time this Saturday.
