Crown Prince graced DPMM FC football fanfare

JERUDONG, BRUNEI-MUARA: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, consented to grace the S.League – DPMM FC Fanfare 2015 at the Jerudong Mini Stadium yesterday, Brudirect reported.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Chairman of the DPMM FC Football Club, also consented for a photo session with children as well as the new players of the DPMM FC 2015.

The S.League – DPMM FC Fanfare this year was participated by several schools including the Sports School and the International School Brunei (ISB) for children aged between 11 and 8 years-old. Scouting for young talent specifically in football is among the objectives of the Fanfare.

Among those taking part in the activity was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Muntaqim.

Also participating were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak ‘Abdul Raqiib and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak ‘Abdul Haseeb bin Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Rahim.

The day-long program provided an opportunity for the visitors to get some tips from the DPMM FC Coach, Steve Kean, whose talks focussed on training carried out in several phases. Participants were also taught on techniques by local and DPMM FC import players. More than 100 children took part in the FANFARE.

The activity was concluded with a certificate presentation to players who took part in the Fanfare.

The event ran concurrently with the presentation of souvenirs by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Hj Abdul Rahim bin Pengiran Indera Mahkota Pengiran Anak Doktor Kamaludin Al-Haj, Deputy Chairman of the DPMM FC Football Club, to the Chief Executive Officer of the S.League, Lim Chin.
