JOHOR BAHARU: Ronser Bio-Tech Bhd, an integrated wastewater treatment solutions provider, expects the production value of its Mass Bio System (MBS) to reach RM100 million in the next three years.

Chief executive officer Dr Pua Eng Teck said the company had finalised the lease of a factory with 12,000 square feet of space in the Frontier Industrial Park in Ulu Tiram, to set up the production facility. MBS, a high value biological product, has very wide applications particularly, in reducing the ammonia level in sewerage, aquaculture and rubber based industries.

“Production is expected to commence in the first half of 2016 and the value is based on 50,000 tonnes of MBS annually. We expect to produce about 4,000 tonnes annually initially,” he told reporters at a media briefing yesterday.

The company had earlier signed a memorandum of understanding with the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) here.

Pua said for the initial production, the company is targeting 80 to 90 per cent for the local market, with the focus on aquaculture and the sewerage industry.

For exports, the company is aiming to market the product to Thailand and Indonesia.

The company has established an associate company in Thailand where there is a huge potential for it. In terms of initial investment, Ronser Bio-Tech will invest between RM3 million to RM5 million in the production facility. — Bernama
