PUTRAJAYA: The manual renewal of the foreign worker temporary permit (PLKS) through the Immigration Department’s counters will be continued after Feb 28 until a more comprehensive plan for the online system is finalised, said Immigration director-general Datuk Mustafa Ibrahim.
“As such, the employer/director/human resource manager of the companies are allowed to go to the Immigration Department counters to renew the PLKS, subject to existing rules and conditions,” he said in a statement yesterday.
He said the online renewal of the PLKS was now at the pilot testing stage for five months, from March 1 to
July 31 and was in line with the efforts to improve the quality of government service. — Bernama
