PENAMPANG: The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) will improve its ‘EZ Complaint’ smartphone application as a better platform for consumers to lodge any misconducts by traders.

Community Development and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Jainab Ahmad Ayid said the EZ Complaint application was a collaboration effort by KPDNKK andthe Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu) under the government’s 1Gov App Store.

The smartphone application is an effort by the government to take action against traders who increase prices of goods at unreasonable amount after the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) next month.

“Consumers can channel their complaints direct to KPDNKK e-aduan system through this smartphone application.

“Consumers can take pictures by using their smartphone and directly channel it through EZ Complaint.

“The feature in EZ Complaint is very convenient for the consumers because it has Geotag feature where the location of the store will be automatically activated at the moment the consumers channel their information,” Jainab said when launching the state-level Price Reduction Campaign.
