JM Education Group to hold education fair and roadshow at Four Points by Sheraton tomorrow

School-leavers can visit the JM Education Fair at Four Points by Sheraton Kuching tomorrow to obtain comprehensive information on further education.

KUCHING: Leading education counselling centre JM Education Group (JM) will hold the most comprehensive further education fair and roadshow tomorrow at Four Points by Sheraton Kuching here, from 12pm to 5pm.

With STPM results out yesterday and SPM results to be released soon, JM in a press statement said it would be playing its part in ensuring the best possible further study, career and employment outcome for all.

During the education fair, University of Tasmania (UoT) will hold a seminar featuring seven different topics as well as scholarship advice for school leavers.

UoT offers students access to an extensive range of specialist bachelor and postgraduate degrees, the foundation studies programme, scholarships, comfortable student accommodation and lecturers who are leaders in their field.

This education fair is the right avenue for school-leavers, who have yet to commit to post- secondary education, to explore.

It is also for existing local Malaysia private and public institutions’ students to reassess their pathways and possible alternatives to enhance future employability.

Sponsored students, from the Civil Service Department (JPA), Education Ministry, Mara, Petronas and others are also welcomed.

More than 35 institutions from around the world will take part at the fair. They include Dublin City University, University College Dublin, The University of Hull, Liverpool John Moores University, Northumbria University, Queen Margaret University, Sheffield Hallam University, University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE), Northumbria University and University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

Also participating are Monash University/Monash College, The University of Adelaide, The University of Melbourne, The University of Western Australia, RMIT University, Deakin University, University of Tasmania (UTAS),Macquarie University, Murdoch University/Murdoch Institute of Technology, University of the Sunshine Coast (USC), Kaplan Higher Education Academy-Singapore, Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia-Sunway and The University of Nottingham Malaysia.

Global education providers like Study Group, INTO and CEG will also share their well-known global pathways with students and parents.

Under the one-stop concept, school-leavers and students will can meet and speak to academic and institutional representatives about courses information, careers outcome, entry requirements, bursaries and scholarships opportunities.

The leading institutions combined offer courses ranging from GCSE, A-level, IB, certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate to research and doctoral studies.

Apart from academic and pathway programmes, JM’s panel of colleges and universities’ specialties cover a broad spectrum of interests such as business, construction, sciences, engineering, health and medical, arts and design, humanities, liberal arts, computing and IT, vocational and technical and others.

JM’s friendly and multilingual counsellors will be present to assist in courses and pathways counselling, accommodation arrangement, student and family visa application assistance, UCAS advisory and on the spot application processing.

School-leavers are encouraged to bring along their school, college/university transcripts, IELTS/PTE results (if any) and other supporting documents for application processing as well as on the spot application fees waiver (if any).
