KOTABARU, South Kalimantan: A member of Kotabaru Local Assembly (DPRD) thinks a toll road construction above sea that connects the Siring Laut to Stagen to overcome the dense urban traffic headed out of town, Antaranews reported.

Chairman of Commission II Kotabaru’s DPRD Syairi Mukhlis here on Monday said that the discourse is very realistic given Kotabaru the Indonesian maritime shaft as launched by President Jokowi some time ago.

“The results of our comparative study to Badung, very affluent district in the province of Bali with PAD (local revenue) reach Rp3.2 trillion, some of which from economy and tourism sectors,” said Syairi.

It relation to Kotabaru, because of its stragetic position in the central archipelago, it is appropriate to think of the increase in development, especially infrastructure.

Meanwhile, now fairly dense urban apparently only has one main line, so that each year will certainly increasingly congested with traffic because of the width of the road is not comparable to the growth of the vehicle.

From comparative studies in Bali is known, Badung district was larger than Kotabaru that it make monumental breakthrough by building on the sea toll that connects with Nusa Dua Bali.

About a big budget to realize that discourse, PDIP politician thinks it’s not a problem, because this will be national project, the funds must be state budget.

Still according to him, if the toll road construction is realized, coupled with the connection of Pulau Laut (Kotabaru) to Tanah Bumbu over the bridge, then Kotabaru will progress very rapidly. The true impact of the public felt that improving the economy so that prosperity can be achieved.
