Three charities benefit from Kenyalang Pub concert with Leez

MIRI: Kenyalang Pub & Karaoke at Pelita Commercial Centre presented donations to three charitable bodies on behalf of 17 companies here yesterday.

They were the Miri Home for the Aged, Miri Methodist Children’s Home and the Lions Club of Miri Seahorse.

According to pub proprietor Andy Ong, the proceeds of the donation came from the sponsorship of a total of 17 companies in Miri.

Kenyalang Pub & Karaoke recently organised a two-day charity concert featuring Iban artiste Leez Zwita on Feb 27 and Feb 28.

“We were the event organiser for the charity project, and the donations were generously given by these 17 companies,” he explained.

Apart from relieving the burden of the less fortunate, elderly and orphans, the event was also held in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Ong also mentioned that the establishment had plans to hold similar concerts every two months in the near future.

The 17 sponsors include: Cambodia Beer, The Best Property, Kenyalang Pub & Karaoke (Ah Soon), Very Mart, Sea Village Seafood Restaurant, Alex Car Welding and Spray Workshop, Koohsiung Furniture Makers Trading, Wonderland Club House, Ming Sing Venture Sdn Bhd, Time (Miri) Digital Colour Sdn Bhd, Bintang Jaya Store (M) Sdn Bhd, EM Repair Centre Sdn Bhd, Shanghai Club, Multi Perkhidmatan & Pemasangan, Ken Hair Design, Sing Wang Cafe and APT Solution.
