International assessment experts happy with 2014 SPM quality

PUTRAJAYA: International assessment experts invited to the meeting to determine the standard of the  2014 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination were satisfied with the process of instrument construction and examination answer script inspection.

Education director-general Datuk Seri Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof said they were  also happy with the meeting which was conducted in complete professionalism and credibility.

“They were of the opinion all processes met the features of education assessment standard and was managed systematically to ensure high validity and reliability of examination results,” he told a media conference on the 2014 SPM results analysis here yesterday.

According to him, those invited to benchmark and assure quality were experts from Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and Pearson Qualification Services, United  Kingdom  as  well as Educational Testing Services (ETS), of the United States. — Bernama
