KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman has advised all state and federal administrations in Sabah to practise prudence in expenditure when carrying out their respective responsibilities.

Musa, who is also Sabah Finance Minister, said public administration machinery should avoid all forms of wastage in managing resources and finance and not to be complacent and careless in their fundamental responsibilities to the people and government.

He said the practice of prudent expenditure was relevant when the world, including Malaysia, was facing various economic issues such as falling oil prices and other commodities that could be felt by the people and country.

“We all know 2015 is more challenging compared to previous years with various economic issues such as falling oil prices. We are grateful to God as the government, especially Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who has announced several measures to face the current situation.

“We are grateful that the development expenditure for infrastructure project in Budget 2015 was retained, including the allocation for Sabah,” he said speaking at an assembly of state and federal civil servants here yesterday.
