Public Service Commission to hold outreach programme on March 17

MIRI: The public, especially job seekers and school leavers, are invited to the Public Service Commission’s (SPA) outreach programme to be held at
Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industries on March 17.

“This is the commission’s nationwide programme and for Miri we are collaborating with Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industries. It is to create awareness and promote our services, including the procedures and requirement in applying for jobs under federal government agencies and bodies,” said the commission’s section secretary Abdul Halim Abang Naili yesterday.

Among the services available during the outreach programme are online registration and job application.

SPA chairman Tan Sri Mahmood Adam is expected to be at the programme, which will be from 9am to 12noon.

“Apart from creating awareness and promoting the commission and its services, we are also gathering feedback, problems or issues faced by applicants when applying for posts in various federal government agencies and bodies,” he added.

Many job opportunities in federal government agencies and bodies will be available during the programme.

Job seekers are advised to bring along relevant certificates and documents during the programme.
