BINTULU: SK Tatau emerged the overall champion in the Primary Schools Sports Council (MSSR) Tatau District meet recently after collecting 11 gold, five silver and eight bronze medals.
Second place went to SK Kuala Muput with four golds, eight silvers and three bronzes while third place was SK Nanga Penyarai with four golds, three silvers and three bronzes.
The best male and female
athlete awards went to Shero Shelly from SK Rh Barrau and Aida Fahmieza Azmi from SK Tatau respectively.
Meanwhile the male and female sportsman awards respectively won by Slvester Umpang (SK Sg Bagiau) and Sonita Chau (SK Kuala Muput).
A total of 362 pupils from 15 primary schools in Tatau, 129 teachers and 60 technical officers were involved in the event.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing’s Political Secretary Zaiedy Nor Abu Nassir. Also present were Tatau District Education officer Mohadi Mubin and his assistant Muhd Nor Abdullah.
