DAMUAN, BRUNEI-MUARA: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon consented to receive in audience the Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) of the Guangxi Committee cum Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi People’s Congress, Peng Qinghua, ©BRUDIRECT.COM reported.
His visit is aimed at enhancing the technical cooperation, trade and investment between the two countries, especially in the development of the Halal industry and bio-industry through the Brunei-Guangxi Economic Corridor.
He was accompanied by Liu Youming, Deputy Secretary-General of the CPC of the Guangxi Committee; Wang Naixue, Director-General of Guangxi Commerce Department; Li Wenjie, Director General of Foreign Affairs Guangxi; Wang Lei, Director-General of the China-Asean Expo Secretariat; and senior officials from the Guangxi Foreign Affairs Office.
Her Excellency Yang Jian, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam and Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awg Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources, were also present during the audience at Istana Nurul Iman.
