MIRI: A family of four in Pujut Tanjung Batu lost more than RM11,000 in cash and valuables when thieves broke into their house early Thursday morning.
A police report was lodged by the victim at Miri Central Police Station (CPS) later in the afternoon. Acting on the report, a team from Miri Police combed the house for fingerprints.
Preliminary investigation found that the suspects gained entry into the house via the window in the toilet. It was believed that the intrusion occurred around 4am when all family members were asleep. Among the valuables reported missing were gold jewellery and RM1,000 cash. Police are investigating.
