KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Juhar Mahiruddin has praised the state government for its good performance in financial management and administration in 2014.
Juhar said under Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman’s leadership, the state government had consistently diversified economic resources, making Sabah prosperous, developed and praised by the international community.
“Last year was the fourth year in the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP) and a critical year for the completion of development
projects planned by the government.
“In 2014, the state government spent RM1.2 billion to implement several development projects, especially for infrastructure,” he said when opening the the First Meeting of the Third Term of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly here yesterday.
He said last year, the Federal government spent RM2.6 billion to implement several projects on infrastructure, health, education and security, as well as to narrow the economic gap between urban and rural areas. — Bernama
