BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: 100 motorcycle ticketed in an operation called Operasi Simpatik 2015 because of violations that endanger themselves and other motorists, Antaranews reported.
“It has been 100 motorcycles ticketed within 10 days of this operation,” said Head of Traffic Police Commissioner Henry Novika Chandra SIK here on Sunday.
He said that during this operation in Banjarmasin traffic offenses level noticeably decline from the previous.
Operasi Simpatik 2015 to put forward and emphasize the preemtive and preventive on actions system as well as educate the public, especially motorcyclists.
Henry said the potential for accidents and traffic violations on the highway is still dominated by riders who are less aware of traffic rules.
“There are still a lot of riders who do not understand the signs of traffic rules and road markings,” said the man who is familiar with the media crew.
Operasi Simpatik Intan 2015 held for 20 days starting from 1 April to 20 April 2015.
