KUALA LUMPUR: PR1MA Corporation Malaysia has never appointed agents or given contracts to agents or third parties to conduct transactions on its behalf, according to a statement on its website.

It said only the corporation handled all transactions related to its development.

“Potential house buyers and anyone wanting to deal with PR1MA will have to register at our website, www.pr1ma.my. PR1MA does not accept or seek deposits for registration from potential house buyers,” the statement said.

An English-language daily reported today that 38 individuals, among them wealthy and influential people, claimed to have lost RM150,000 in cheating cases involving four women who had allegedly posed as agents for PR1MA.

All of them claimed to have paid between RM2,500 and RM7,000 to these so-called agents last year for the purchase of semi-D and town houses in Ara Damansara and apartment units in Taman Cempaka, Ampang. — Bernama
