MIRI: Interhill Group of Companies held a ‘Green Your Desk’ competition for employees here in conjunction with Earth Day yesterday.

Corporate communications manager Agnes Nyelang said the well-received competition offered attractive incentives.

“The ‘Green Your Desk’ competition enabled staff to make the best out of recyclable materials using environmentally friendly products at the workplace, alongside keeping their workspace neat and clean,” she said.

Interhill executive assistant Chong Mei Yi won with desk decorations that complied with the overall theme.

“She decorated it with a total of 12 recyclable items on the theme of ‘Go Green’. She won a luxurious one-night stay at a five-star hotel,” said Agnes.

Resident quantity surveyor Priscilla Pihem was second and human resource executive Abbyana Nurhazwani came in third to respectively receive an exclusive hotel family buffet voucher and high tea voucher.

“At Interhill, we are fiercely addressing global concerns for the environment, because global warming is at an alarming level today.

“We’ll continuously encourage our stakeholders and fellow employees to put in as much effort to aid in providing a positive impact on the environment on a daily basis,” added Agnes.

The competition was part of Interhill’s ‘365 Green Days’ campaign.
