Seven-year-old boy falls to his death – Kajang Police

KUALA LUMPUR: An seven-year-old boy fell to his death from the third floor of an apartment unit in Suria Court, Bandar Mahkota, Cheras this afternoon.

The victim, Damon Yen Zhi Yang, 7, was sent to a tuition centre by his mother in the morning as he did not go to school because he had a fever.

Kajang District police chief ACP Abdul Rashid Abdul Wahab said the incident occurred at 12.45pm, according to information received from the members of the public.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found the victim lying face-down and he suffered severe injuries on the head.

“His mother sent Damon to a tuition teacher to take care of him as she was unwell. The cause of the incident is still under investigation and the case has been classified as sudden death,” he told reporters in a press conference, here today.

The body was sent to Kajang Hospital for post-mortem, Abdul Rashid said. The identity of the tuition teacher was not revealed.
