Tornado struck six villages in North Hulu Sungai

AMUNTAI, South Kalimantan: Disaster tornado that struck six villages in North Hulu Sungai on Wednesday evening quite devastating magnitude, Antaranews reported.

Mursidi, villager of Kayakah in Amuntai on Thursday, said when the tornado occured, there were three villagers took shelter in the multipurpose building as the same time it rained.

Suddenly the high-speed whirlwind came devastating the building and flew three people who are nearby.

“Three people who took shelter were flown and thrown as far as 20 meters,” said Mursidi.

Thankfully the three people thrown off by the tornado not seriously injured, only minor injuries because their bodies fell in the swamp.

Mursidi said multipurpose building has been used by villagers, particularly adolescents, to exercise volleyball and badminton, as well as for community meetings and other activities.

Now the building razed to the ground, pole buildings even none stuck, all flown like it was broomed by tornado.
