MIRI: Members of the public here are invited to take part in a blood donation drive to be held this coming May 2.
The organiser is Miri Divisional Gawai Dayak Committee.
According to the spokesperson, the event to help Miri Hospital top up stock at its blood bank will take place at Bintang Mega Mall from 10am to 1pm.
“The blood donation drive is open to interested members of the public irrespective of race and religion,” he said.
It is part of many side events organised in conjunction with Miri Gawai Dayak Celebration Dinner 2015 to be held at Meritz Hotel on May 17.
Tickets to the Miri Divisional Gawai Dayak Dinner on May 17 are still on sale at RM50 and RM80 per person or RM500 and RM800 per table of 10 persons.
They can be purchased from organising chairman Captain Bernard Idit (016-4454854), Caroline Siburat (012-8518938/085-415371 (office hours) or Kitty Janggot at Rumah Dayak (085-435467).
Those participating in the Miri Divisional Kumang/Keligit and Keling/Belawan contest should submit their entry forms by the closing date on April 27.
The preliminary round will be held at Bintang Megamall on May 2.
