Royal Couple Feted at Royal Brunei Polo & Riding Club

JERUDONG, BRUNEI-MUARA: Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) last evening celebrated the newlywed royals, His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah in a thanksgiving prayer ceremony, ©BRUDIRECT.COM reported.

The event held at the Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club in Jerudong was hosted by YSHHB to congratulate the royal couple, and to signify their gratitude and joy over the royal wedding which was celebrated in grand affair and full of traditional royal customs.

His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, who is also the Chairman of the YSHHB Committee of Governors, and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul Adawiyyah were greeted on arrival by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris, Deputy Chairman I of the YSHHB Committee of Governors with other board members.

Also present at the event was Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam.

A “Dikir Marhaban” by religious teachers and students of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School accompanied the entrance of a special “pesambah” – a rare collection of Mushaf Al-Quran dubbed the “Mushaf Al-Sharif” printed and published by the Islamic Cooperation Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCIC), Turkey.

In his welcoming remark, Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister of Finance II at the Prime Minister’s Office and Acting Chairman of the YSHHB Board of Directors shared that the Mushaf Al-Quran has the unique significance of being produced and published based closely to the original copy of the Al-Quran which was compiled into a book during the era of Khalifah Sayyidina Uthman bin Affan.

The “Doa Selamat” (thanksgiving prayer) was read by Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.

Prior to the event’s conclusion, the royal couple received a “Junjung Ziarah” (greetings) from invited guests.
