SIBU: Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) is offering a special RM100 (inclusive of GST) fee to investors of ASNB beneficiary management services, namely Hibah Amanah and Pengisytiharan Amanah from April 1 to 30.

The promotional fee is offered in conjunction with the Malaysian Unit Trust Week (MSAM) 2015 being held from April 19 to 27.

President and group chief executive of PNB Tan Sri Dato Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said investors would only need to pay RM100 instead of the normal RM180 (not inclusive of GST) for Hibah Amanah or Pengisytiharan Amanah.

“Registration form with MSAM stamp for the two services can be obtained at 30 ASNB branches in the country or ASNB  website during the promotional period or at MSAM exhibition sites,” he said in a press statement.

“Investors have to return the filled forms to ASNB before June 1 to be eligible for the promotion.”

The two services help manage investor’s unit trust so that the fund can be given to the recipient within 21 days if the claim meets the terms and conditions.

Hamad said the services made the claim easy because at times it would take at least three months or years.

He added that the speedy claim was important as many were not aware that all assets belonging to the owner would be frozen after the owner passed away.

“Will management is fundamental because it helps the recipient of the assets left behind by the owner,” Hamad said.

Hibah Amanah for Islam investors is based on Syariah while Pengisytiharan Amanah for non-Muslims involves amanah concept.

Apart from fast claim service for the fund recipient, another advantage of Hibah Amanah is investment where the owner still owns the fund when the owner is still alive.

Hamad said the asset management would be easy if it were managed well before the owner passed away to benefit the recipient.
