Batu Ampar police investigates decomposed body

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Police Sector Batu Ampar, Tanah Laut District, investigating unidentified corpse found in a former mine site, Antaranews reported.

“We’re trying to find out who this dead body and we ask all the locals for information,” said Police Chief Inspector Nur Rochim in Batu Ampar, Friday.

The corpse without identity was found on Friday (24/4) afternoon around 16:30 at the site of the former mine of PT Alfariung, Damit Village, RT 4 Batu Ampar subdistrict, Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan.

When children playing at the site they saw a figure like a doll. After being approached turned out to be the body of a man. Then children told local residents.

Residents went to the site and it was true, so they reported it to the Village Head Agus Suliso, who then reported it to the police.

Then the police hold initial investigation at the scene (TKP). After that, the body taken to hospital RSU H Boeyasin in Pelaihari.

Rochim said, the characteristics of the corpse, male, about 40 years, dressed in security (Satpam) uniform, carrying a black backpack containing rubber sandals green, orange tuppeware drink bottles, 2 sacks and dagger.
