KUCHING: A driver escaped injury after an accident left his vehicle perched midway up a tree early yesterday.
The unidentified driver was heading towards Mile 3 via Rock Road when his car went out of control and rammed through the perimeter fencing of a house by the road.
The vehicle then spun and went rearwards into a tree in the house’s compound before coming to a rest halfway up the trunk.
He was able to make his way out of the car and called for a tow truck to have his car removed.
In an unrelated accident, a motorcyclist suffered a broken leg following a collision with a car at a traffic light intersection in Kota Sentosa on Friday night.
The 21-year-old was travelling alone from Samariang to Kampung Haji Baki when the incident occurred around 7.30pm.
Witnesses said he was making a turn at the intersection from Kota Sentosa towards Kampung Haji Baki when he was struck by a car travelling towards Mile 6.
An ambulance from the Civil Defence Department was despatched to the scene to send the in-jured youth to Sarawak General Hospital, where he was admitted.
