KUCHING: Stephenie Johari won the subsidiary title of Miss CityONE when she beat 19 others during a parade of national costumes in the preliminary rounds of Miss Global International Sarawak 2015.

She bagged the title for best speech and presentation on their amazing costume creations of what they wore on stage at CityONE Mall yesterday.

Stephenie walked away with the winner’s sash and RM250 in cash and reigns for a year as CityONE ambassador when she received her prizes from the general manager Timothy Wong of the Megamall shopping complex.

She was also one of five contestants who will only know their fate for Best Costume, which is another subsidiary title of the event at the grand final on May 21 to be held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching.

The other four finalists for best National Costume are Genevieve Geral Wilson Unting who was also announced as Miss Popular with 830 votes, alongside three others in contention, Ellna Jiway, Cammielye Oliver Rega and Martina Litad Balang.

The other 15 finalists who took part in the National Costume showcase yesterday were Ainaa L Tacia, Anny Wong Wei Wei, Christina Dana Paulus Ripos, Claudia Gan, Decharmene Gibson, Emerald Sie Rou Xiu, Ezza Hunny, Marzella Sigai, Paula Nanie Entia Nating, Pauline Nanie Mula Nating, Phriscillia Mujan Peter, Raden Atul, Shayndee Dunstan,Valerina Aren Alfred and Endy Ling Jia Jing.

Ticket prices range from RM300 per table or RM40 to RM100 per ticket.
