One killed in collision on Banjarmasin flyover

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Maisurah (23), a resident of Pemurus Dalam, South Banjarmasin, was killed after her motorcycle collided in an accident on flyover when heading into the city, Antaranews reported.

“The girl was riding a motorcycle and a silver Xenia car hit her from behind when slid down flyover direction to the city,” said witness, Mayang Sari (30), a resident of A Yani Km 3.5 Banjarmasin, who saw the incident on Sunday.

He said, the Xenia and Yamaha Soul motorcycle seen speeding when uphilling the flyover from out city direction. Somehow, the car suddenly crashed into the victim’s motorcycle.

The victim’s motorcycle allegedly bounced and hit Honda Beat in front of her caused the second victim also fell.

The first victim died at the scene. She was known as Maisurah (23), a resident of Pemurus Dalam, South Banjarmasin. She was killed with a fractured neck and bleeding.

The second victim using Honda Beat affected by the impact of the collision was identified as Dahliani (32), a resident of RT 18 Jalan Bali No. 7, tandem with Siti Zaleha (65), a resident of Saka Permai RT 4, experienced a hip fracture.

Mayang said the incident that occurred on Saturday (25/4) morning at around 07.00 in downslid of flyover at Jalan A Yani, Km 3, exactly in front of the Mosque Baiturrahman, East Banjarmasin.

Xenia car driver fled into the city after the collision and residents around the flyover immediately evacuate victims to a nearby hospital.

Currently car accident case that caused the victim death is handled by the Traffic Police Unit.
