Men’s team champions X-cel receiving their prizes from PBB Kidurong branch chairman Haidar Khan Asghar Khan (third left) at the Bintulu Bumiputera Badminton Closed tournament last Sunday. Second and third placings went to Wonder Boy and Bintulu Development Authority respectively. The women’s pair category was won by Ramlah Mohamad and Jariah Mohamad Dawi who beat Catherine Charles and Porida Sumin. Ping Bira and Ngo Madan were third. A total of 14 men’s teams and 10 women’s pairs competed in the event organised by Kidurong Community Sports Club. Earlier, Bintulu MP’s political secretary Zaiedy Nor Abu Nassir officiated at the opening of the tournament at Badminton Hall Methodist Eng Kwang Church, Tg Batu last Friday.
