North Hulu Sungai beware of cow miscarriage disease

AMUNTAI, South Kalimantan: North Hulu Sungai Fisheries and Livestock Agency wary of the spread of miscarriage disease (Brucellosis) in cattle, Antaranews reported.

Head of Animal Health and Veterinary Public Health at the agency Gusti Putu Susila here on Monday said the miscarriage disease in cattle females was found in Pelaihari in 2014-2015.

“Based on the results of brucellosis surveillance in Kalimantan still found positive cases of the disease, so we need to be vigilance though these types of illnesses has not entered the territory of North Hulu Sungai (HSU),” he explained.

The Animal Health Coordination Meeting (Rakorkeswan) from 8-10 April 2015 in Banjarmasin has mentioned, there was an increasing trend of brucellosis reactors due to the entry of beef from other regions infected.
