KOTA MARUDU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Tandek division yesterday unanimously passed a motion at its 30th annual general meeting to support and endorse the leadership of Prime Minister and Barisan Nasional chairman Dato’ Sri Najib Tun Razak.

The AGM attended by around 300 delegates, passed the motion tabled by the party’s youth wing, and seconded by the party’s Wanita wing. The motion was to give Najib space and support to deliver the national transformation programmes and bring the 1Malaysia concept to full success.

During the debate that followed, delegates said they full supported the leadership of the Prime Minister. The delegates pointed out that Sabah and Sarawak have benefited enormously from the leadership of Najib as Prime Minister and he should be allowed to continue his programmes for the nation.

The Wanita delegates, in supporting the motion, voiced out that Najib was undoubtedly the best Prime Minister so far for the extensive development and attention he had given to Sabah and Sarawak since coming to office.

Among others, they pointed out that he had appointed 13 ministers from Sabah and Sarawak in recognition and to reflect the importance and contribution of the two states in helping Barisan Nasional win the general election and continue to govern the country.

Previously, Sabah and Sarawak used to get only two posts or at most five ministers in total. The bigger voice and wider role given to the two states have paved the way for bigger allocation of development funds for the two states.

“Let the good leadership of Dato’ Sri Najib continue,” they urged.

PBS has 60 divisions with 150,000 members and Tandek was the first division to hold its AGM for this year.
