Firemen come to aid of girl whose finger got caught in a cake mixer

A medical personnel from Miri Hospital attending to the victim after firemen freed her finger from the mixer.

MIRI: It took firemen from Lopeng Fire Station 30 seconds to free a teenage girl’s finger from a cake mixer in Piasau Jaya here on Friday morning.

The team led by senior fire officer II Henry Jugah received a call from the victim’s family around 10.58am that morning.

According to sources, Nur Nasha Nabilla Yusuf, 12, was helping her mother bake cookies that morning when she accidentally switched on the gadget.

“My finger got caught in the whirling beater and I was lucky it wasn’t cut or torn off,” said Nur Nasha.

The firemen freed Nur’s finger from the beaters using a cutter.
