MIRI: Twenty-four finalists have been selected for the finals of the Miri Divisional Kumang/Keligit and Keling/ Belawan Contest 2015.
The preliminary round took place at Bintang Megamall here on Saturday.
In the Kumang Iban category, the finalists are Princess Alma, Stephanie Ita, Casxandra Brigite, Mena Gundi, Monica Muna Laman and Melinie Nyawin.
Finalists for Kumang Bidayuh are Sonia Ronald, Richeal Endu Raymond, Janet Empina Atok, Michelle Ida Anselm, Jill Uring Paul, and Joyce Greg.
For the Keligit Orang Ulu category, the finalists comprised Sherah Mutang, Vivien Mening Ding, Stephanie Edison Ingan, Puyang Ngau, Shirley Unjong Ding and Gwendoline Puyang Saging.
Meanwhile, the finalists for the Keling/Belawan category are Ron Lloyd Albert Jingga, Octavian Pagag, Adrian Johnny, Steward Empit, Thomy Uvang and Peter Njok Lenjau.
The finals will be the highlight of the Miri Divisional Gawai Dayak Dinner, which will be held at Meritz Hotel on May 17.
