MIRI: A fire at a plywood mill in Kuala Baram on Saturday night had badly damaged the mill’s store.
A fire engine from Lopeng fire station with eight firemen led by Supt Law Poh Kiong rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call around 11.29pm.
The firemen managed to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby building where most of the mill’s machinery was kept.
The cause of fire and estimated losses are still being investigated, and no injuries were reported.
