‘Sign up with e-Roses now’

KUCHING: Organisations that have yet to register with the Registrar of Societies (ROS)’s online system – e-Roses – are advised to do so as soon as possible.

State ROS director Ken Leben said registration was necessary as all annual returns must be submitted online.

“To be able to do that (online submission), registration with e-Roses is required,” he said when met at his office yesterday.

Ken added that the number of organisations registering with e-Roses was ‘picking-up’ of late.

He admitted response to the online system was rather slow in the beginning, but momentum picked up following a number of outreach programmes.

Citing two months old statistics, he said of the 3,229 organisations in Sarawak, slightly more than half of them had migrated to the online system.

“I don’t have the current figure offhand, but I can say more have migrated to e-Roses.

“Those who have yet to register with e-Roses should consult us immediately so that we can advise them on what needs to be done,” he said, adding that non-submission of annual returns might lead to deregistration.
