A heavy machinery is seen spreading gravels on the surau parking space.
MIRI: Residents of Kampung Lereng Bukit will celebrate the upcoming month of Ramadan in a more convenient way as the parking space at their surau has been laid with gravels.
A villager, Haili Amin, who is also a member of the village JKKK, thanked ‘Majulah Miri’ for gravelling the Surau Hidayatullah parking space.
“We are thankful to its (Majulah Miri) chairman Datuk Hii King Chiong who helped in the gravelling of the parking space,” he said, yesterday.
He said the parking space would be very convenient for the congregation as they would be observing the fasting month very soon. Previously, they had to go through the muddy parking area especially when it rained.
Haili said that Majulah Miri had also spread gravels at the village road several weeks ago.
