KUCHING: The Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda) yesterday launched the sale of booth for the Sheda Property Expo 2015.

Sheda president Joseph Wong believed that this year’s property expo to be held from September 25 to 27 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here will attract a larger crowd and more participants.

“The planning and organising (of the expo) has been exciting. Sheda is encouraged by the early response. So far, over 60 per cent of booths have already been taken up.

“With more than 10,000 visitors to last year’s expo, we hope that the number of visitors will be higher this year,” he told a press conference during the launching of the sale of booth yesteday at BCCK here.

Among the key developers participating at Sheda Property Expo 2015 include Ibraco Bhd, Naim Land Sdn Bhd, Lee Onn Construction Sdn Bhd, MJC City Development Sdn Bhd and CMS Property Development Sdn Bhd which are the expo’s main sponsors. He noted that other property and real estate developers participating at the expo include RB Development Sdn Bhd, Timber Land Group, Elica Sdn Bhd and Instarmac Development Sdn Bhd.

He believed that this year, the number of booths at the expo will be better than last year’s figure of approximately 120 booths.

Meanwhile, Wong noted that to enhance the public’s experience at the expo, the number of fun-filled activities which will be held during the three-day event has been significantly increased.

He added that the public can look forward to browsing through more than 100 booths and encourages them to take their time to explore upcoming development projects at the expo.

Sheda Property Expo is a platform where vendors from property-related trades promote and highlight their projects and products under one roof.

Exhibitors at the expo include property developers, building material manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, home furnishing, government agencies, non-government organisations as well as local councils. Wong said the expo is supported by both Ministry of Housing as well as the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
