SIBU: A businessman on Wednesday claimed losing RM40,000 which he put inside an envelope tucked underneath a seat of his car. Earlier, he had gone to a bank to withdraw the money.
After placing the envelope containing the money underneath a seat of his car which he parked in Pedada Road, he said he left to buy something.
When he returned about 20 minutes later, he said he found the front passenger window smashed and the envelope containing the money missing.
A CCTV footage showed two men on a motorcycle smash the car. The complainant believed the thieves could have trailed him from the bank. A police report has been lodged.
