LUMUT: The police have arrested five underage youths and 44 individuals in an anti-vice operation called Ops Noda at an illegal entertainment premises in Seri Manjung, here Saturday night.
Head of operation by the Perak Police Contingent Secret Society, Vice and Gambling Division, Inspector Nor Shaharah Marzuki said the youths were among 19 customers caught during the 11pm operation, including three China nationals and two Myanmar citizens, who did not have valid travel documents.
She said 25 guest-relation-officers (GRO) comprising Vietnamese women and five foreign male workers of China and Myanmar nationals, were also detained in the operation.
She said the premises manager and a male bartender were also apprehended following the discovery that the premises had been operating without a business licence. – Bernama
