KUCHING: It was a sea of red and white last Saturday (May 23) at State Stadium as 800 students of Smart Reader Kids turned up to participate in their annual sports day celebration.
Clad in exclusively designed sports day t-shirts with a `Thumbs Up’ theme, the three to six-year-old preschoolers were cheered on by thousands of family members, educators and principals.
The Smart Reader Kids Sports Day 2015 (Sarawak Chapter) gathered 11 Smart Reader Kids centres of Kuching.
The event was organised by world renowned preschool education franchisor Smart Reader Worldwide Sdn Bhd and its subsidiary Aim Smart Academics Sdn Bhd.
The participating centres were Smart Reader Kids of Chong Hin Garden I & II, Jalan Song, Jalan Keretapi, Tabuan Jaya Baru 2, Uni Garden of Kota Samarahan, Rubber Road West, JalanStapok, JalanMuhibbah, Taman Yen Yen, and Smart Reader Kids Jalan Rock.
According to Manager of Aim Smart Academics Norma John, the combined mega sports day was the biggest ever held in Kuching since the company came into Sarawak about 10 years ago.
She added, “It is always the priority of Smart Reader Kids to produce well-rounded students who excel academically and in other social activities including sports via the Smart Reader Creative Teaching Methodology”.
“We are grateful for all the support from franchisees and parents to make this event a memorable one,” she said during the official launch of the sports day recently.
