KUCHING: Hundreds of rock music fans left ‘Konsert Lagenda Jelajah Rock’ held at State Indoor Stadium in Petra Jaya last Sunday in disappointment when the concert was cut short over an alleged misunderstanding about payment between the organiser and contractor in charge of the PA systems.

What organiser Idearts Creativo had announced as an initiative to help children with disabilities, help raise funding for natural disasters and foster unity among Malaysians fell short of its goals.

The concert started at 10pm although it was scheduled to start at 8.30pm, straining the patience of its 300 audience members who were shouting their discontent.

Awie delivered a rocking performance to approcimately 300 attendees at last Sunday's ‘Konsert Lagenda Jelajah Rock’ which was pulled by organisers after only an hour.

Awie delivered a rocking performance to approximately 300 attendees at last Sunday’s ‘Konsert Lagenda Jelajah Rock’ which was pulled after an hour of its originally planned three-hour slot.

The event was slated to be a three-hour concert featuring rock singers Mus May, Awie, Ella and Datuk Ramli Sarip. Out of all four rock singers, however, only Mus May and Awie managed to perform before the concert was concluded an hour later at around 11pm.

According to police, concert-goers assembled at the stadium entrance to voice their discontent. Despite the tension and discontent, no fights broke out. Tickets for the concert cost RM85, RM155 and RM255.

“We are very sorry for the concert that was held last Sunday, but to make things clear, we will organise a press conference soon,” said the organiser when contacted by The Borneo Post SEEDS today.
