KUCHING: In the wake of George Lagong’s surgery resulting from his recent car accident, his son Dickson George reached out to the public in a letter expressing the family’s gratitude for their support during this time.

“It’s been a very hard and painful moment for our family and relatives. Some being told about it and shocking because the news had come completely out of the blue,” he said.

He assured that his mother Sumie Janting and his two younger brothers – Norman Nuing and Winston Demang – were fine.

“But my father had a severe head injury. Surgical team and specialist have successfully performed the necessary operation on him and now he’s in a stable condition although it’s still critical. Currently he’s at ICU, Sibu Hospital.”

Dickson, 34, described his father as loving, a great friend and fighter.

The family would like to urge all family members, relative, close friends, supporters and everyone to give their prayers.

“Thank you for all the visits, moral support, prayers and words of hope and faith. Myself and other family members will update any signs of change and progress.”
