Royals’ Congratulatory Messages to Russia & Philippines

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has consented to send a message of congratulations to Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, as well as the Government and people of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the country’s National Day,  ©BRUDIRECT.COM reported.

His Majesty said he appreciates the warm ties and close friendship shared by the two countries and peoples, and looks forward to continuing to work together in further strengthening relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Russian Federation, both bilaterally and through global cooperation particularly in the Asean-Russia Dialogue, East Asia Summit and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.

His Majesty ended the message by extending his kindest regards and best wishes to President Putin.

His Majesty also sent a message of congratulations to Benigno Simeon C Aquino III, President of the Republic of the Philippines, as well as the Government and people of the Republic of the Philippines on the occasion of the 117th anniversary of the country’s Independence Day.

His Majesty said he was pleased that bilateral relations between the two countries -had strengthened over the years with expanding cooperation and close friendship.

His Majesty said he looks forward to continue working together with President Aquino in the near future in building on these strong foundations in further enhancing the ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Philippines.

His Majesty wished President Aquino the best for a successful chairmanship of APEC 2015 and looked forward to seeing him at the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) later this year.

In ending the message, His Majesty extended his kindest regards to President Aquino.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has sent a message of congratulations to Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Republic, on the occasion of the National Day of the Russian Federation.

His Royal Highness said, “It is with great pleasure that I send my warmest congratulations to you and to the Government and people of Russia on your National Day.

“I much appreciate the friendly relations between our two countries and people over the years. I am pleased to learn that the invitation to the International Al-Quran Recitation Competition in Moscow continues to be extended to our people and welcome the religious and cultural understanding this helps to develop.

“I look forward to continuing our work to strengthen our much valued partnership in the Asean Regional Forum and the Asean-Russia Dialogue.”

His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah also sent a message of congratulations to Albert F Del Rosario, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Republic of the Philippines, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of the Philippines.

His Royal Highness said, “I am pleased to send my warmest congratulations to you and to the government and people of the Republic of the Philippines as you celebrate your country’s Independence Day.

“It has been a pleasure working with you in strengthening our long-standing bilateral friendship and regional partnership and we very much appreciate the contributions of your people in Brunei, both in the public and private sectors.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you much success in the Philippines’ chairmanship of APEC this year.”
