MIRI: Shell lubricants have remained the top choice for lubricants in Sabah and Sarawak for the past eight years.
Shell Timur Sdn Berhad lubricants sales manager Choo Sze Wee attributed the success to Shell’s commitment in its Research and Development (R&D), where it spends more than US$1 billion annually.
“Shell is not only top player in lubricants in Sarawak and Sabah but the global leader in power, energy and supply challenges as it delivers smarter products and cleaner energy through its R&D,” said Choo when met by thesundaypost yesterday during the roadshow for the Shell Rimula global promotion at Permaisuri Mall.
Without disclosing the production and sales figures for Sabah and Sarawak, Choo is optimistic that the demand for Shell lubricants will continue to increase.
“To appreciate customers’ support for our products, particularly Shell Rimula heavy-duty diesel oil, we are organising the Shell Rimula global promotion which is entering its fifth year this year.
“Eight lucky winners from Malaysia will be given an all-expense paid trip to Budapest, Hungary in September to experience the FIA European Truck Racing Championship 2015,” he said.
During the promotion to be held until July 15, discounted prices will be offered for Shell Rimula R4, R5 or R6 products available at all distributors in Malaysia, including five in Sarawak and one in Sabah.
For Miri, the three distributors are KTS Trading Sdn Bhd, Chop Kiat Siang and Siariang Sdn Bhd.

During the promotion at Permaisuri Mall, various activities were held, including product presentations and games for the public, a colouring contest for children and arm wrestling competition for adults.
A similar promotion will be held in Sibu and Bintulu in Sarawak on June 20 and June 20 in Kota Kinabalu and in Sandakan on June 28.
